Blake Malatestinic

A vast amount of playing and coaching experience at different levels. I won two state championships- one as a player in Indiana and, more recently, one as a coach in 2023. I also secured the OVC Championship with Eastern Illinois University in 2023 which gave us a berth in the National tournament. As a six-year Division One pitcher, I made 72 collegiate appearances (9th all-time at EIU) and pitched 222 innings (6th all-time at EIU) which provided me a lot of experience and opportunities. In high school, I was named Indianapolis Player of the Year in 2017, a North-South All-Star, and earned MaxPreps Small School All-American honors as a utility player.

Currently, I teach at St. Anthony Grade School and serve as an assistant and pitching coach at St. Anthony High School. My diverse background allows me to offer tailored, effective pitching instruction.

Bailey Dowling

I grew up in a small town with big dreams. From the start, I always wanted to play college softball at the University of Alabama, and with a lot of hard work and support from my friends, family, and coaches, I was able to live out that dream.

Softball has always held a special place in my heart since the moment I first stepped onto the field, and now I get to share that passion with others. My goal is to help girls chase their dreams—just as I did—and when life throws obstacles their way, I will be right there with them, guiding them through the challenges.

While my career wasn’t always smooth sailing, I’ve learned that it’s all about adjustments. Unable to play my senior season of softball due to COVID-19, I graduated from St. Joseph-Ogden High School as a 3-time Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year, 3-time WCIA Player of the Year, 3-time News Gazette Player of the Year, 4-time All American and was the holder of multiple State of Illinois Softball Records. My travel
ball teams transition from local teams to the Chicago Bandits and I finished out my travel ball career with the Georgia Impact. The summer going into my senior year of high school I played for the 2019 USA Junior Women’s Nation Team where we won Gold against Japan. I attended The University of Alabama to continue my career and live out my dream. During my time there I earned 2nd Team All-SEC, 2nd Team NFCA All Region, and was fortunate to make it to the Women’s College World Series 3 out of my 4 years at The University of Alabama.

While I was blessed to live out my dream, I never imagined my career would have such unexpected turns, including two major injuries. One forced me to sit out the end of my freshman year, and the other happened right before my senior weekend. I’ll be honest—I felt like the world was ending when these injuries struck, because it truly felt that way at the time. Looking back, I’m not thankful for the injuries themselves, but for what I learned through them. They helped me become a better teammate, player, and person, and I owe that growth to my relationship with Jesus. Without Him, none of this would have been possible. Even though He placed obstacles in my path, they shaped me into who I am today.

I graduated from college in May of 2025 with the most fulfilling outlook. I want to help girls chase their dreams, just like I did. I offer mental training whether that be in person or virtual as well as player development sessions for offense and defense.

While my career wasn’t always perfect, I can’t help but feel blessed for what softball has given me.

Each swing, each pitch is a step closer to greatness...
